Just wondering where everyone has gone!!! I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I still popped in from time to time reading your insights on the best band in the world! It's so quiet around here these days!!! Where is everyone??

Our family has died, and fallen apart. We've gone our own ways! You know, Ethan, I wish you no ill will, but your antics on the Ledge, a couple of years ago, are what really started our disentegration! Hell, we started another board, then another board, just to get AWAY from the decisions the Ledge mods were making, ALL IN THE PROTECTION OF YOU! Did you read that? ALL IN THE PROTECTION OF YOU! You got on there, posting like crazy, annoying the hell out of the MAJORITY of the Ledge population. People tried to tell you to calm down, but you wouldn't. They stepped up their criticisms of you, only to have your hero, Johnny Douchebag Stew, put the entire fucking COMMUNITY, in a place where you were free to annoy everyone, at your will! God, what a lovely position to be in, for you! Loved by the SUPER MOD, and despised by most of the community. How proud you must've felt.

Again, I wish you no ill will, but thanks for killing The Ledge, at least for me.

You know what, even though the board isn't as active as it used to be, there are still fantastic regulars who post here. Homie I know you pop in from time to time, I'm still here, Suzy posts lots of cool things and there's Gerald, Mari and Gaius contributing interesting things as well, and I know Peestie checks out the Lindsey board too and David occasionally finds his way here. I think it's still worth maintaining this board for the few of us that still care, that still want to post here. Michelle may have decided to abandon us for The Ledge again and others may be over the messageboard thing altogether, but I still enjoy interacting with all of you. I still read The Ledge for Mac news but the posters over there tend to be younger these days asking the same old boring questions, so I don't get as much out of the discussions. This board may not be as active but all the cool people are here

Words can't tell all you guys, how much our interactions have meant to me, over the past six years(for me). I really do love you guys.

I've been venturing out into the world(emotionally), for the first time in a looooooooong while. Had my first date, in YEARS, last night. Scary, for a guy who's been a loner for so long!! Our community was part of what was sustaining me, and now that it's so slow, I might just have to get a real life!

Yeah- I understand what you're saying, and have taken it to heart. Back in the day, I was more immature in my actions on the Ledge- and I totally admit that. I can say that I really am not the same as I was back then, and have met many Ledgies recently, and they'll attest to that.

I am sorry though that my early actions had such a lasting negative impact. Those never were my intentions, and now people see that since I am no longer quite that immature.

Yeah, like we haven't heard that before.

Anyway, I try to pop in here at least every 2-3 days to see if there's anything going on that I care to join in on, but there never seems to be.

I really miss the old days of The Ledge and I miss a lot of the people I used to chat with all the time. But I cannot go back there. It's overrun with teeny boppers and ~wynd children~ and general freaks.

I've been lucky to find another messageboard (non-FM) that has a community feel to it to occupy me for now, but it's still not the same. Sigh.

Me too, Vicky, on missing the old days of the Ledge. But, yeah, even if I went back, it wouldn't be the same. Alot of the people are gone now, and it IS too teeny bopperish now.

And I too have found some other message boards to join.

David posted on the FM newsgroup, about a week ago, that we needed to get it going again. I responded days ago, and there's not been one response. I wonder how long it'll be, until ISPs completely quit offering Usenet?

And yeah, The Ledge is very young and very Stevie-Wyndchild these days. I miss those epic discussions and even the arguments. I guess we all have to move on eventually sad though it is. I hope there's a tiny bit of the old Ledge here though.

Date - eh, I didn't really feel the sparks I was hoping for, but, she was nice, and we had a nice conversation. I think we'll probably go out again. We both said we'd like to, today. Maybe I'll carry some flints in my pocket, next time! Scary world out there, for a loner, trying to socialize!

And the shippers. Oh god the crazy fucking shippers.

I mean, those types of people were around back in the old days too, but there were also a lot of normal, cool people. There's no balance anymore.

Still it's a good first step just getting out there, hopefully the next one will be more successful. And as a fellow loner, I feel your pain. I can't tell you the amount of times I've needed that push to get out there, but once I'm out I tend to enjoy myself.

Yeah, the ones that want to lick his sweat and things like that, yikes! There's rarely any discussion about his music any more. I like a photo thread or MP3 thread as much as the next person, but that's all there is over there these days.
Some of the most interesting boards over there at the moment are the Christine and post-Rumours forums, but they are just as inactive as these boards. It's a shame really.

That's what I'm thinking, too. I need to get in the habit of dating, again. Of putting myself out there. I've long sensed that you are probably a loner, too. You know, because we're both on these damned boards all day!!!

FWIW, I go out with friends all the time. Friends are safe. Love is fucking scary!!!! And with me, I don't want a one night stand. I want it all, or nothing.

And yes on the fucking ~Stevie Wyndchild~ idiots on the Ledge. GOD I HATE THEM. It's true, there used to be balance. Ethan came along, and JS laid down HIS new rules, and most of the cool people left. Thanks again, Ethan.

Still here? I keep in touch with some of you via lastfm, but not everyone, so that's why check this place every day.
But I've very little interest in the Mac and it's been like that for a few years, guess that's no big secret. So I just don't have a lot to contribute to Mac related discussions.
I look at the Ledge now and then.. mwaaah. Even if I could post there, I bet the only thing that would come out would be fucking sarcasm because I just can't take it.
